Discourses of Criticism

What are discourses of criticism? The Common Place understands discourses of criticism to be the various lenses through which readers view a work. A reader may be interested in viewing a text through a feminist lens, paying particular attention to post-colonialism, or analyzing a work for its psychoanalytic undertones. These types of perspectives, and others, are known as critical discourses, and appendix materials with this approach will be found here.
